Civil Engineering AB
In partnership with SKANSKA International Civil Engineering AB, Sweden, we proudly contributed to the Kukulegaga Hydropower Project, a landmark initiative aimed at enhancing Sri Lanka’s renewable energy capacity. Our scope of work included the construction of essential minor structures, site development, and the supply of skilled and experienced manpower to support complex civil and engineering operations.
Executed between 2001 and 2003, this project, with a total value exceeding USD 50 million, stands as a testament to our technical expertise, safety standards, and commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality solutions in challenging infrastructure environments.
Taisei Corporation
In collaboration with Taisei Corporation, Japan, RTS Contractors played a major role in the Southern Highway Project, one of Sri Lanka’s most significant expressway developments connecting the Southern region with the capital. Our scope of work covered the construction of minor structures, supply of skilled and unskilled manpower, and provision of heavy machinery and vehicles to support large-scale civil and infrastructure operations.
Spanning key development areas including Dodangoda, Kurundugahahetepma, Imaduwa, and Pinnaduwa, the project was executed between 2008 and 2012, with a total investment exceeding USD 2,200 million. Through this partnership, RTS demonstrated its strong capability in delivering integrated manpower and machinery solutions, maintaining exceptional standards of safety, quality, and efficiency throughout all stages of project execution.
Ircon International Ltd
Partnering with Ircon International Ltd, India, RTS Contractors played a vital role in the Omanthai–Pallai Railway Project, a major segment of Sri Lanka’s Northern railway rehabilitation initiative aimed at re-establishing critical transport connectivity. Our responsibilities included the construction of minor structures, supply of skilled and unskilled manpower and office staff, along with the provision of heavy machinery and vehicles to ensure smooth and efficient project execution.
Carried out across key development areas including Medawachchiya, Omanthai, Pallai, and Kankasanthurei, the project—valued at over USD 650 million and completed in 2008—highlighted RTS’s proven capability in delivering comprehensive manpower, administrative, and equipment support for complex, high-value infrastructure developments in collaboration with international engineering partners.
China National Machinery Import & Export Corporation
In partnership with China National Machinery Import & Export Corporation, RTS Contractors played a key role in the Matara–Beliatta Railway Project, a major infrastructure initiative aimed at expanding Sri Lanka’s Southern rail network. Our services included the supply of skilled and unskilled manpower, along with the provision of vehicles and heavy machinery essential for construction, logistics, and site operations.
Completed in 2013, with a total project value exceeding USD 1,300 million, this project highlighted our ability to deliver reliable workforce solutions and equipment support to meet the demands of large-scale, high-value infrastructure developments. Through this collaboration, RTS reaffirmed its reputation for professionalism, efficiency, and excellence in supporting international engineering ventures.
